Our Ministry at Amazing Grace

At Amazing Grace, our goal is to connect to Jesus in our worship and in Bible study, and to live in His love by serving others. We take God’s Word very seriously and seek to grow in our faith through His Word and His sacraments.

I was born in Milwaukee, WI to the late Tom and Laurie Burow and was baptized into the family of God in September of 1976. I attended Christian grade school at St. John’s in Milwaukee where I was confirmed in the Christian faith in 1991 by Pastor Martin Schulz.

Schooling continued at Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, WI for my high school years. While in high school I met my future wife, Carol. Together we raised four boys and are now blessed with two daughters through marriage.

Upon graduation from high school, I decided to pursue public ministry at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. After completing my schooling there, I attended Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary and graduated in 2005. I was ordained into the public ministry of the Gospel in June of that year.

I first served congregations near Watertown, WI for ten years. In 2015, I received and accepted a call to serve the members of Amazing Grace. It has been my privilege to serve here for a decade.

I enjoy spending time with my family when we all manage to get together. My wife and I enjoy traveling together, and I am known to hack away on the golf course on a regular basis too.
